It also is the US's second-largest renter of moving trucks (behind AMERCO's U-Haul), including Budget trucks as well as the yellow trucks acquired from Ryder. Worldwide, Budget Group oversees a system of about 6,500 car and truck rental locations, most of them operated by franchisees. Cendant, which already owns Avis Group Holdings, acquired Budget Group in November 2002. Though Cendant will integrate the new acquisition, it will continue to operate Budget as its own brand.
